So You want to know the awesome secrets of Disk 3?

Lets start with the first step...

1) You should be able to "bump into the flying monster with the highwind. Do it. Keep hitting the flying monster with the Highwind. After about 5 bumps, it will fight you. Repeat the bumping, fighting process until you fight over Cosmo Canyon. It will be the final battle. It's pretty easy, so you should win. After you win, you recieve Cloud's Ultima Sword.

Also, the blast of it blowning up after you win, will open a path to the Forest Hill. Make sure you go to that level and get the Typhoon summon materia.

And then the next step...

2) Get Cloud set up with the best armor and the best materia. Make sure e has a strong armor, has the ribbon as his accessory, and has 9999 hp and 999 mp. Also make sure Cloud has 4X slash, and has his Ultima Sword equiped.

Go to the Battle Arena in the Gold Saucer. Fight enough battles, and get Cloud's Omnislash. Equip it on Cloud. Now fight enough and get X-Summon. Equip it on Cloud. Now go to the counter to start a new fight, and select Special Battle. The Special Battle is pretty hard, just make sure to heal Cloud whenever he needs it. After you win the Special Battle, you recieve the Final Attack materia.

If you equip the Final Attack materia in the same slot as the revive or the Pheonix summon, your character will come back to life after he is killed. I suggest putting it with the revive, since the spell does require mp. The revive spell uses much less mp, so it would be a better choice.

Next is the task of deafeating Ruby Weapon...

3) Make sure you have 3 mastered Final Attack materias, and 3 mastered revive materias. Put a Final Attack materia on the same slot as a revive on all 3 characters. Make sure all 3 characters have 9999 hp. Make sure all 3 character have a limit attack that does a multi-hit combo, such as Cloud's "Omnislash", Yuffie's "", and Barret's "". Make sure everyone has 4x slash materia. Forget about summon materia. Rather, equip speed and luck and long range materias.

Go to the glass tunnel before you enter the underwater reactor. You should find an enemy called a "Ghost Ship". Morph it. Take the item that you got to a man a Kalm. You should find him in the 2nd floor of the right-most house. Trade him the item for the Underwater materia.

Equip the underwater materia on one of your characters before you fight Emerald Weapon...

You will find it underwater, swimming around. just run into it, and it's on...

3.5) During the battle, devote the weakest character to healing everyone. Make sure you use 4x slash or limit attacks throughout the whole battle. Don't use summons, they only slow you down. Make sure your characters are healed, and hit it with all the attacks you can get. A few Omnislash's, and it will die.

You will recieve the Earth Harp item. go to the man at Kalm, and trade it for all the master materias.

[EXTRA]

In the islands in the southeast corner of the world, you will see a cave. It will seem that you can't get to it. Actually, you can. At the point where the grass area meets the rocky area, (looks like a stair), you can get to the cave. All you have to do is land a certain way along that step. If you do it right, the highwind will land on the grass area, but Cloud will be on the rocky part below. now all you have to do is run acroos the rocky area, and into the cave to get the quadra materia.

Now to beat the hardest part of the game, Ruby Weapon

4) Make sure you do the extra above. Put the quadra (mastered) in the same slot as the master summon, and put them on Cloud. Give Cloud all three master materias. Give him X-Magic, and X-Summon. Give him 9999 hp, and 999 mp. give him long range materia.

You will find it as a little red thing in the gold saucer desert. Run into it with the highwind...

It will take out 2 of your characters from the battle, so you may have to try more than once to get it to keep Cloud. Your offense should consist of Summoning Knights of the Round and using 4x slash and Omnislash. Also make sure you are well healed. An Elixer works very well. You only get to be revived with the Final Attack materia a few times, so be careful. A few Knights of the Round and a few Omnislashes and it is finished.

For beating it, you recieve the Desert Rose item. Take the item to the man in Kalm. Trade the desert rose for a gold chocabo. Now you can go everywhere, and get everything.
